As a member of the CH2M Hill design team, Ruby performed structural design of three buildings totaling nearly 1.5 million square feet, and the slab yard crane structure. To facilitate the 4 month fast-track schedule, Ruby provided the owner with building foundation loads and a mill order bill of materials prior to selection of the steel fabricators and erector, and then worked closely with the selected fabricators to accommodate multiple process design changes requested by the owner. Ruby's design lowered construction costs by minimizing structural steel material and delivering fabricator-friendly details.
