Ruby+Associates assisted Atlas
Industrial Contractors with rigging design at their fabrication facility
in Memphis. Atlas needed to lift large, heavy, irregulary shaped components
and place them on barges for shipment to the jobsite in St. Genevieve,
Missouri. Ruby used 3D modeling to determine centers of gravity and lift
stresses, and then designed lugs that enabled Atlas to lift and rotate
the components into place.
