This uniquely designed bridge stretches 150 feet across sloping Michigan Avenue in downtown Grand Rapids, connecting Helen Devos Children's Hospital with a new medical office building. Retained by Hillsdale Fabricators to provide erection engineering assistance for the bridge lift, Ruby worked closely with Ericksons Inc. and Wolverine Building Group to facilitate work on the sloping street by using tapered crane matting, and selected lift components to drive efficiencies and mediate heavy concentrated loads on Michigan Avenue.
