Charles W. "Lefty" Smith Jr. Rink
The University of Notre Dame constructed a new 208,000-square-foot, 5,000-seat ice arena designed to meet the needs of both the nationally-ranked Irish hockey team and the local community. Ruby assisted Cadillac Iron with the roof erection procedure, which involves eight 156-foot trusses, weighing up to 42 tons each. The new arena is scheduled to be open for the 2011-2012 NCAA season.
