Erection Procedure of Roof

The world’s largest crane (1999) was needed to install trusses on top of this 15-story facility. The crane was so large that it was disassembled before it was brought into Conseco Fieldhouse, and then reassembled on the ground level inside. As a member of the steel erection team for this project, Ruby+Associates prepared drawings and procedure for erection of the 300-foot trusses that composed the facility roof. Erection of the roof was a success. The project schedule and budget for this element were maintained.
