Ruby+Associates was founded in October 1984 by Dave Ruby, focused primarily as a consultant for the construction and fabrication industry. Ruby+Associates now is the largest structural consulting firm in Michigan, providing a wide variety of structural engineering services to the design and construction industry.

Dave’s passion for structural steel permeates the firm. As a project engineer for American Bridge over 45 years ago, Dave learned the philosophy of constructability, which involves the process of thinking through the entire project prior to beginning the actual design. This is the key to helping our clients and partners execute projects successfully. Today, Ruby+Associates incorporates this philosophy into each project, expanding the parameters considered in design decisions, which facilitates a more thorough design that considers the complete construction of the facility.
