David I. Ruby, PE, SE, SECB, FASCE
Chairman, Founding Principal
Dave is recognized as a pioneer of constructability and a legend in his
field. As the technical visionary of the firm, his experience spans over
50 years in business and covers all aspects of structural design and construction
engineering. Dave’s signature projects include the John Hancock
Building in Chicago, Astoria Bridge in Oregon, Embarcadero Hyatt Hotel
in San Francisco and Renaissance Center in Detroit.
Tricia Huneke
Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer
Tricia manages corporate operations for the firm, including finance, human
resources, technology, and marketing. A graduate from Purdue University
in Industrial Engineering, and a former project manager with a global
supply chain company, Tricia develops and implements the systems required
to support the technical excellence of Ruby+Associates.
Bruce Burt, PE
Principal, Vice President of Engineering
Bruce leads the development and implementation of technical quality processes
for Ruby+Associates. A veteran with over 25 years at the firm, Bruce specializes
in the fields of heavy lift and construction engineering and is a key
resource in complicated construction.
John Matuska, PE
Senior Project Manager, Associate
John excels in managing complex projects. A member of the Ruby team for
over a dozen years, his signature projects include Dulles Airport in Washington
D.C., stadium and high rise construction in Chicago, healthcare facilities
in Ohio and several regional industrial structures.

Ronald Goetze, PE
Senior Structural Engineer
Ron has 25 years of design experience with hot and cold-rolled steels,
concrete, wood, aluminum, glass and fiberglass. He has expertise in applying
finite element analysis to a wide variety of structural applications.
Paolo DeGiuli
Manager CAD Services
Paolo is manager of CAD services for Ruby. With over 20 years as a member
of the Ruby team, he is responsible for standardizing firm processes and
implementing new CAD and BIM technology.
